Cutting Deep

You tell me I do not love youâŚ
Oh how I wish it was true;
For it would make it easier looking at you
I see the pain and fear in your eyesÂ
Not even DaVinci could show it in his art
You say to me that you cannot love me
As if you have the choice to fallÂ
Yet our kisses feel like bliss from above
You pull away from me for a momentÂ
Gathering your thoughts before we start over
Trying to hold back from the love you call an omen
I want to stay in your arms till morning light;
Yet you push me away during tender moments
Still your hand looks for mine under the coversÂ
When our hearts get too close you run away;
Only to pull me back when I think you're lostÂ
Yet you tell me my words cut deepâŚ..Â

I think you portrayed the push and pull some relationships have. And how the physical can keep us together despite the fact our minds dont melt and want to escape. I enjoyed this write. Love and light â
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed my little scribble. Sending hugs & love.Â
