Poem -

Dad

I wish I  had listen you told me not  to that  or when you told  that with patience  comes  wisdom  I seem to think  what do you   know your old  and have no idea what the real world is like  . But how wrong could I be I have to admit you were right again like so many times before.

I had to do things my way  and you just your head and said  that won’t work , I said yes it  will proceeded  to build  it my way .  well it wasn’t long be for it fell apart  I was heartbroken , but you can with your tool and here let me help  and together we built it  and you  it is still there  I can  remember these and all the other times you just let me do  it on my own  and came to fix  when I did it wrong  and you should how to do it .

I remember  when I was to wed ,  you said  baby  your shouldn’t marry him  he is not  good enough for you  but again  I had to do it my way, and alas  you were right we last only  4 yrs. and I was on my own  . I should have listen but well what can I say I am a hard head.

Well it has been 18 yrs.   Since you passed and I still miss you every day I know you are smiling because I found the right one and we are taking care of mom. Dad you will always be my inspiration and my guiding light   I only wish we had more time together   but I know you are watching and know how I feel.  Dad this day they gave for us to celebrate you but I feel we should do it every day   for there is not another just like you  DAD
