Daisies

Like petals of a daisy
We’ll inevitably fall.
Not due to stress
Or work, or worries.
From those minor stumbles
You can always get up.
But what happens
When the mind grows weary?
Not the body,
Because it can be rested;
But the soul
The being.
When your soul gives up
Your fall is inevitable
Like the petals of a daisy
In the coming of Autumn.
But
Also, not unlike those same daisies
You grow again
Although you may not be the same
Your appearance may be altered
You might become
A whole other being.
Just like the daisies
Reborn in the springtime.
