DANCE OF THE LIGHT
I caught the sunlight in your
hair today Hayl,
And you, ever you, so crystal
glass fair
And you, ever you, so utterly
Unaware
I got lost in the movement, in
The dance of the light
It seemed to me, that
The angels surround you girl
That they keep you in sight
Lifetimes rolled by then
In that moment, in my mind
You ... and ... I ...
The childhood, the growing
The connections unequaled,
hearts souls ever sowing
Images shimmering like
baubles there to find
All the beauty you are, at once
Etched on my mind
And you, ever you
So utterly unaware
Turned to me, smiled, flicked
back that fine hair, said...
Ready to go mam?
I smiled, pulled the door
Put the key in my pocket
Life goes on like before, as
I followed your light to the car

It is about my daughter Hayley Tina, one of the most spiritually and physically beautiful people I know though she is so unaware! How do you write of your children Tina?, I find it so hard to find something that doesn't sound like a birthday card...yet there are a zillion small moments when we are overwhelmed ..thankyou so much love 💞

Absolutely ASTONOSHING detail in the poetic description of her hair and its movement!!.....Like 'Being me' suggested.....a moment in time ~ captured forever.....I agree with her wholeheartedly ~ "A small snapshot of eternity lingers here..".......and although, when i first put this expression on Cosmo, ~ "PINNED for PERFECTION".....I had no idea that, all along, I had written it in hopes that this poem would one day appear!!......I wish I could give you more than just 5 Stars for this marvelous contribution to the COSMO galaxy of poetry!!......Love your marvelous mind my friend!!......Stay creative & continue to "Glide on Love".......hugs n kisses!......your friend and ever-admirer!!......T xo : )
That is such a kind and generous comment Tony, this is about my daughter Hayley, one of the most spiritually and physically beautiful people I know. It is hard to write about your own children without it sounding like 'birthday card' verses because most people adore their children..and what is there to say? They are beautiful...we love them.

My answer: nah I don't write about my own kids as everyone would think theirs are the best of the world ... so I just give this a skip ;-)>
That's why I tried to make it about an ordinary moment when I was overwhelmed with love...that's what I aimed to achieve anyway...thanks love x
