dandelions

petals

dandelions

Imagine your in a field,
The bright yellow dandelions all around you,
You wish and wish on everyone,
You wish for him,
But he doesn’t care.
So you cut yourself on his razor-sharp lies and broken promises,
Just so you don’t lose him.
Apparently, you had to learn this lesson the hard way,
You wanted to play this game,
The game of love.
Sometimes the people we want most don’t want us.
So,
Don’t base your happiness of his smile, his face, his attention.
Instead, stop, and enjoy those bright flowers
And don’t rip off their petals to wish
For something that is only gonna backfire.
