Poem -

Danger De Mort

Danger De Mort

Ever since I peered down deep
Within myself
Where demons sleep
And saw that grim lit omen lay
I've watched him closely night and day
Surprised me not his shade of sin
Surprised me not his coat of black
Surprised me not that awful grin
But shook my soul his winking back
And now he sits there dreaming
In the respite of my sunken soul
Where in his dreams he finds me
Ripe to pluck my life, consume me whole
And never have I ever
Felt a love too ill to court
For on the walls within my mind
It's written

Danger...De Mort

And even darker diction is his
Blatant disposition as he sleeps
With both eyes open
As if deep inside he's broken
And a certain love exudes him
Though a love too ill to court
For on the walls within my mind
It's written

Danger de mort

Your cadence, your style always hits heavy and massages the wound. Beautiful dark place you've created here.

"And now he sits there dreaming"
And a certain love exudes him
Though a love too ill to court
For on the walls within my mind
It's written
Danger de mort

Something ominous floats here and I love the fluidity of it all. I had to look up Danger de mort, it translated to "at the peril risk of ones life". Deep stuff it's a vicious battle when you face yourself and begin to actually loose. Stay curious buddy!!

I think we have something we do battle against whether in our heart, in our soul or in our mind. Some of these things are more scary than others and I wanted to encapsulate the concept here. I appreciate the love and support.

Woah this makes me think of someone courting a femmefatale, but whatever it is it is a thrilling enchanting awesome imaginative poem of indescribable dark poetic wonder. Kudos.
