Dark Moons Rising

you have skewered me, and
buried me
In ashes from a moon, in outer
space, in far off place
and laughed upon my doom
and you cannot hope to trouble
me, then bid me trouble not
for you stole away my precious
thing...was mine
And yours... was not...
and you cannot hope to think
now that my heart might ever
heal
for it lies upon an outer moon
in shadows...very real
and you cannot hope to
trouble me, then bid me
trouble not...
for you stole away my
precious thing
twas mine, and yours...was
not...

Hiya love...Tina I so miss writing about beauty but I don't have it in my heart right now...thankyou...be in touch soon Xx
Marion, I truly believe that, to do it well, poets can only ever write what it is they hold in their hearts at the time. Our emotions are what drives us. Poetry strives to bring the emotions to the reader. Narrative poetry is the only exception to this, but even then the stories are linked to the way the writer feels at the time. Even though your poetry is dark at the moment, so what? It is still excellent poetry. There are a great many readers who will empathise in someway. Not everyone wants to read of happiness and light. Someone, I cannot, for the life of me, remember who, but they were a renowned writer, once said that poems of happiness and light made, on the whole, for a bland read. And I kind of get what they mean. Write what you feel and it will always be worth reading whether that be dark and twisted or bright and breezy... The key is to always write from the heart. I absolutely love the poems you write. I do wish for happy days to find you again but that is for YOU not because I am in any way fed up of what you write. Your writing is ALWAYS superb x
