DARK SECRET VAULTS (For Harry)

DARK SECRET VAULTS (For Harry)

Late winter and new life, with the colour and joy of spring,
lays, still dormant in the cold hard ground, when the rising mist
and that mornings sun, and the regimented trees that guard
the winding road to home, reveal the nave of a hidden cathedral.

The road, so often, so blindly traveled, transformed, took form,
exposed beauty, etherial majesty, of a place unknown.
A place to pause - to breath, to wonder, a place to humble,
to halt life’s journey, to worship at natures alter, in all its glory.

A precious moment soon to vanish, as the world turned oblivious
and the suns light that flooded through golden stained glass
those transient, dark, secret vault’s, as it rose in the morning sky
without mercy, or malice to gently warm the cold, cold ground.
