Dark Surprise

Darkness falls across my room
The midnight hour here to sooth
But something evil in the shadows hides
Waiting and waiting for a dark surprise

Creeping up oh so slow
How its hands are so cold
I hear its whispers that are low
Tonight's the end for that I know

It whispers in my ear so dark
Making sure it leaves its mark
Stabbing a knife right through my heart

Bloody scratches fill the walls
Screams of horror down the halls
Tonight's the night my heart will fall

Hands wrapped tight around my neck
Blood just pores from my chest
Making sure no life is left
Doing its dark deed to its best

Take a breath it's just a dream
Of some horror so it seems
Listen close hear my screams

Wake me up turn on the lights
Please take away these frights
This dark thing I'm too weak to fight

Screams of horror down the halls
