Dark Times

It's the difficult times we face,
That challenge our humanity. 
Forcing upon us, difficult tasks,
That test our very sanity.

It's the darker times we see,
When hope starts to dwindle.
Suddenly, our smiles are gone,
As fear and laughter don't mingle.

But do not let the shadows in,
As they block all signs of light.
Allow the candle to burn,
Do not give up the fight
