Darkness

At night we walked, street by street
You fear it, the unknown 
Always needing control 
Why don’t you just enjoy the dark?
The crisp nightly air is beautiful 
Streetlights are protecting you

Not yet, while stars are shining. 
You fear what I love... the dark
In darkness my emotions hide
Yet around you all I see is sparkly eyes
