Darkness

These tunnels I’m walking are so very dark
My thoughts project surround me like disturbed violent art
I scream and I scream to hear some fragment of senseĀ
To be greeted solemnly by anger and resentĀ
Which tunnel I venture depicts my next feud
A scramble of junctions to commit or elude.Ā
Ā SuppressedĀ Ā I’ve succumbed to playing this roleĀ
But the weight that it bares exceeds any tollĀ
For a second I saw a glimmer of light, at the end of my tunnel of fearsĀ
Only to be startled by the realisation it was the glisten of my own true tears.Ā
