day to night

day to night

birds
light
air
morning
body rises
head thinks
spirit falls
movement occurs
routine takes action
distractions
distractions
distractions
nothing
boredom
thoughts: worthless, waste, wimp
movement stops
world keeps moving
head loses place
nothing
thinking
over thinking
stupid thinking
reality fades
masquerade darkens
night
trapped now
voice gone
hope gone
air gone
light gone
birds gone
me, gone

The concentration of moments, like the concentration of poetic form itself, here is pointed; giving pinprick, camera obscura, glimpses into the life and mind of the poet.
The progression from day to night; when everything from the beginning of the poem is "gone": is truly inspired and a wonderfully apt conceit.

Magnificent!!
