Daydreaming

I’m daydreaming of a place I’d like to go.
Somewhere coconut palms grow.
Where there is white and warm sunny beaches.
A place with tide pools above where the low tide reaches.
A place where the streets are paved with gobble stones.
Where the neighborhoods are made up of terracotta homes.
A place where brightly colored pottery and sculptures are made out of clay by gifted hands everyday.
Where brightly colored paper flowers and baskets line the streets,
A place where bakeries have beautiful fresh sweet breads soo sweet.
A place where moon beams dance on the ocean waves.
Where live festive music through the night plays.
I’m daydreaming of a cool river flowing between huge smooth boulders.
A place where soft rapids roll over my shoulders.
Where the rain forest is full and lush.
A place where air plants grow on trees and brush.
I’m para sailing through the air.
As the wind blows past me I have not a care.
A place where I’m horse back riding on the beach.
Riding bare back with a swim suit and bare feet.
I’m walking with my love and tasting food from all the local vendors.
We’re going to the bull fights to watch the skill of the Matadors.
A place where my love and I have the honeymoon suite on the beach again.
Where our newly found passion began.
I’m daydreaming of a place I’d like to go.
Where the days are fast and the nights are slow.
A place I’d like to go again before I die.
Where the stars shine soo brightly in the midnight sky.
Maybe a ship will take us there.
To the place you and I in our hearts share.

What a well written timely poem, Cactus Woman... yes it's filled with soft sweet sentiment, paints beautiful images and floods the thoughts with perfect scenarios that is probably far from what reality provides; for most of us, but it is after all a daydream, so I'm totally all in on this one...much liked, much enjoyed...where can I sign up? Lots of fun to read

Thank you so very much Chris.
My husband and I really had a trip to Mexico over twenty years ago that was much more than I wrote about.
I daydream from time to time about it to this day and hope we can turn sometime soon.
Heaven knows we both need a vacation after all these years.
Love your comment.
God bless and may your dreams come true. :)
