A pRiCe tO pAY
In the market
The bustle continued
I gazed at the meat
Unwrapped Filleted Glistening
Cost...one soul
Nearby, the ghosts hovered
Shivering
No charge...
I put the ghosts in my basket
Paid with my soul anyway
Left the meat there...

Oh Marion... This had me in tears. I could imagine very well all those dear little ghosts in your basket. This vile trade sickens me to the core. And, dare I say it, I hate, HAte, HATE the people who eat this meat as much as the people who slaughter the dear little doggies and pussy cats. This poem has really hit a nerve. So I pinned it.
