Deadly Inertia

Deadly Inertia

Into the doldums
we floated
unknowingly
in spite
of the obvious warning signs
that certain death awaited us

But it was not our time
so fate pushed
our arrogant asses through
to the other side
at the crucial time
though our humbled crew
knew full well
we were undeserving

Take the win
but let the lesson sink in
that Lady Luck
is an unreliable mistress
