Deafening Silence

For what is silence? Is silence a prefrence? Is silence truly tranquile? Is silence a calming sound? When the mind is being entertained by noises we tend to think and react reflecting the hypnotizing sounds racing to our ear drums faster than the speed of light. But, when there is complete silence our thoughts are uncontrollable, they can't be tamed. Rambling, continuous on top of continous thoughts one after the other in silence; that is screechingly, most definately the loudest sound known to man. So, is silence silent? So which is louder? 5,000 drums banging together all at once or silence? THINK. (silence)
