Dear Mythology,

I know you'll eventually find this note

First of all I wish to thank you for all the wonderful escapades we shared together

There were times the spookiness really got my heart going so I knew I was alive

We really walked along the cliff of sanity and reality

The tabboos and blasphemies brought us to the edge of the Abyss and we would faux trip each other to fall in

But clearly reality is too spooky for you

So you have decided to cut ties and remain in your protective bubble of fantasy

I thought you would trust me at some point

I thought you might come to respect this little old Rationality

But alas, instead you found some odd excuses to cut ties and float away

And of course you had been storing up some arsenal very conveniently based on a precedent you'd assumed to understand

I hope you land on solid ground one day 

Before the heat melts the soap and your rainbow splatters into the flames
