Death

I have nightmares about death
Knowing anytime I could take my last breath

The vivid images I see
The shivers I get when I think about the ways
He might take me

The sweats, the racing of my heart
Trying not to break down and fall apart

The panic attacks I get when I think
Is this it?

I can’t get it out of my head
That there might be nowhere to go once we’re
Dead

Being buried in the ground with bugs eating my flesh
Brings so much fear, it’s hard to express

The thought I might not make it to old age
Paralyzes me and makes me so afraid

Do you believe in an afterlife?
Or do you believe this is our only
Existence?
