Death

If I where to read thoughts,
thus would they be:
Oh death, where do you hail from?
Further be capacitated with:
If any award where to be presented to any force
unpredictable, unacceptable, inexplicable,
yet so brutal
I bet death would come out tops.
Taking without permission,
Ripping hearts out and enjoying every bit of it

If I where to read thoughts
Assured they'd be capacitated with:
I did not invite you
Yet you came into my territory
I did not grant you permission to take
Yet you took the most,
treasured, beloved and precious
stone in my possession
Oh death you darkest shadow!
Do you ever cease?

Unto the bereaved
Though your hearts be ripped,
Take a moment, listen to these words:
Remember he shall
wipe away every tear from your eyes
And death shall be no more
Nor shall there be weeping,
nor crying, nor pain anymore
For the former things have passed away.
For these words directly from the mouth of our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
You can be assured,
if he says it, it shall come to pass
