Poem -

Death shines her light

Death shines her light

As I stand its hard to think,

So many questions remain,

I don’t know how to feel.

Words spoken seem foreign,

No comfort is felt,

I want this to be over.

The grey sky above,

Feels so heavy above me,

I hope I did it right.

The last word is spoken,

Unfamiliar hands touch my shoulder,

I feel no comfort

Like a distant memory,

Time slows its pace,

I stand, so alone.

She touches my hand,

Colour floods my mind,

I am content.

We stand together,

Nothing else matters,

I will never forget.

She floats as she moves,

My heart feels for hers,

I shall return.
