Deathbed

Deathbed

I used to adore
gazing up
at the magnificent sunset
on those very special evenings
but that was then, when I was in love

nowadays I don't feel anything
when I see that  moment of pure magic you know?
the one where the sun and all it's glorious colours
deep red fiery skies
embrace the blue
gently leaving the day behind with a smile
resting for a while
adorning to the moon

I don't feel anything,  I'm numb?
numb, as my heart is dead
It's not broken in two like they tell you
after love, the heart is simply dead
it beats yet it's dead
at least until a time
when we want it to reawaken
from its deathbed.

Without love the most simple and most electricly beautiful offerings of nature are worthless and dimmed, I love to indulge my own curiosity of love. Thank you so much dearest B.S

This one has a sort of novelization about it, that I love. You read the title, then go through the story to find out the meaning of title. Very clever, to be sure. Well crafted.

Thank you so much dear Rory, rather inspired by your latest poem my friend, and upon watching a sunset myself yesterday evening. 🌹

Hello Shirley...

Some people die in their deathbed and wake up in the Morgue...

Talk about a Twist...

Surprise!

I'd like to do that but, I still choose the Hill...

Beam Me Up Scotty!

🚀

I'll stay up there more than 11 minutes...

That would make me an Astronaut too?

🙃

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Being Me

A lovely poem about a horrible thing. Well worded ... and I know what you mean. When the heart is raw and broken nothing in the world makes any sense at all. Beautiful writing x

Thank you so much dearest Tina, I guess without this pain I would never have become a scribbler, most know this feeling and those who don't are quite fortunate depending on each individual situation. Biggest of hugs my friend. 🌹
