Debby, Roger And Me, After Forty-Five Years

Debby, Roger And Me, After Forty-Five Years

This photo from ten years ago, was at my reunion forty-five;
The years since graduating high school, some classmates not alive!
My lifelong best friend Roger, who I see occasionally;
Is with me and our dear girl Debby, so close we used to be!
.
We met each other in the seventh grade, she made our heartbeats grow;
Her beautiful longer blonde hair, far down her back it ever flowed!
In the book of our reunion, she said she came especially for us;
To be reunited with her two buddies, who over her each fussed!
.
So sadly, she’d lost her husband, to cancer, some years before;
But she never had remarried, no love her heart restore!
Instead she raised her children, and provided them with all;
She also runs in marathons, this lady stands so tall!
.
My Linda got to meet her, last September at my fifty-fifth;
Still as beautiful as ever, she gave both our hearts a lift!
She told us how very perfect, a couple that we made;
This Angel from my childhood, that I met in seventh grade!
.
.
                      Reunions with friends
                  Dearest lifelong memories
                     Relived with such love

Lovely poem touched my soul

I guess the older you get the more reminiscent you get...well that's from my experience!

Dear Kieran,

I totally agree with you.  It seems now that I'm in my 70's, I enjoy looking back over my life.  Fortunately for me, I can still remember a good bit of it.
Thank you for your heartfelt words.

Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
