Decades

Sept. 26th, 2018
Decades

Wanting time to stand still,
Not watch the seconds melt into years,
Every memory with you is worth savoring,
Time is the enemy,
Growing each day,
Aging through every year,
Before you know it we’ve put up with one another
For a decade,
Then another,
Each day I regret the time passing,
Dread the anxiety of the day when there,
Will be no more,
Days,
No more seconds,
With you the seconds mean more than,
The air I breathe,
Your love is the oxygen in my veins,
Existing without you.
