Deep blue

Deep blue

The waves that took you from me are the deepest blue.
The deep blue that mirrors my tears.
The last golden glitter of our day disappears.
I wish I had basked in the sun.
The brilliant shimmer of our happiness has faded to grey.
I’ve always feared the deepest blue.
So I hold on to that last
I love you.
