Deep In My Bay (Monterey Bay)

Deep In My Bay (Monterey Bay)

Deep down inside their lies a fruitless tree
with forces strong enough to make souls cry,
and wished they never took part in the sea.
For that's a place you don't want to ally.
Β
For way down here's where it's not as clear
both in my rhetoric and point of views.
Don't gloat, take note of what I to say here,
"Your trespass crew are in need to pay dues."
Β
These watery old debts will come to those
that disrespect the sanctum of the sea,
and one pays in their blood, ears, thumbs,Β and toes,
no matter how unpleasant it may be.
Β
So, if you're ever sailing Monterey
and the mighty Bay resists your good charm.
Don't be alarmed by what the Bay's to say,
for if you cower on land there's no harm.
Β
If you have your pleasure in my good bay
and think this bay just may be your waste-bin.
Beware I, chaperone, defending each day
with waves reminding you your foolish sin.

Yes, I'm so deep, so dark and fathomless.
Where whales and tortoises all come to play.
While they are here in my charge moreΒ than less,
conserving the bay inΒ nature's own way.Β
