Deep Mind

I’m a person with a deep mind
I think all the time 
My thoughts scare me sometimes 
I wonder who I am myself 
I ask myself that question all the time
What purpose am I supposed
To fulfill in this broken life 

Love: only kills the heart 
Blood: keeps us alive 
Our mouths: we use to tell lies 
Our bodies: are growing old 

Yet sometimes I wonder why 
I keep on 
And keep on trying 

I ask the question 
Yet you don’t have any answers 
We talk and talk about everything 
Except what we’re doing with our lives 
Maybe one day you’ll open up your eyes 

The sad part 
Is it might be too late for us to even try
