Poem -

defeated.

Her heart is blistered,
Her soul is baring,
No shelter,
Nor deep caring,
Her mind is scrambled,
Her dreams are shambled,
How could you,
Your so daring,
Unkind,
Uncaring,
In doubt you raised her high,
You never caught her dreams,
You let them die,
One thousand needles in her eye,
You turned your back,
You made her cry,
No shelter
Nor caring,
With every lie,
Your a shameless man,
No empathy,
That's why,

I picked her up and built her strong,
Replaced her dreams,
With loving song,
I held her hand while you weren't there,
Re stitched her heart,
In loving care,
No tear un condoled,
No dreams she cannot mould,
Nor depleted,
Your intoxication,
Defeated.

I could not help but think of a father mistreating the daughter and the mother healing the daughter's wounds. This poem is rich with emotion, hurt, and rejuvenation. A great write indeed.
