Delayed in time

Ive been saddened by the past
when shadows in love were cast. 
many of hurdles were met
with much sadness & regret.

we tried to venture through
the struggles that became.
as we struggled on in life
saddened by our blame.

for arguments were spoken
many rows in life awoken.
hurled to and fro
hurting each other with every blow.

we really tried our best though
to carry on in times of strife. 
but it all got too much to bear
& it got too much of being your wife.

so now we must depart
from lives together now led apart.
and walk alone ahead
new paths of life we tread.

so farewell my love farewell 
it's the end of our loves spell.
I only wish you all the best
upon your life in god's test.
