Demons

Demons

Tell me of all the demons that swim in your pools of darkness
Do they dance freely to the song of their desires?
Do they whimper at the site of the anchor of virtue
For it is their happiness in that dark place that will bring us content
If they whimper their cries will make tsunamis of turmoil in our hearts
Though we may float with the glory of righteousness
Our hearts will pool with waves of darkness
Those demons will continuously weep until the chains that bind them have broken
You can pray; try to cast them away.
However their presence will never subside
Perhaps let them run free; bargain with them for territories of light.
But never prison them.
Caged demons always become free.
