Depression

Depression by Dan Townsend

I've felt the darkness.
The heavy weight of pain.
The empty void within myself.
The hollow shell from which I scream
making no sound.
The burden of the past.
The fear of the future
and the dread of now.
I've been so low.
So far from hope.
So lost and so alone.
Trapped in repeat.
A shadow.
A memory.
Nothing.
