" Desert Oasis "

" Desert Oasis "

Alone on a desert, I looked out to see,
'twas a tropical island, in it's beauty,
A desert oasis surrounded by sand,
God's beautiful place, in a desolate land.
White waterfalls flowing, into a stream,
Where wild blue orchids glow, with great esteem.
Flocking butterflies sail, and fancy birds sing,
In a rainbow of colors, that was awe-inspiring.
With umbrella-like fruit trees sprawling around.
Cascading flowers and grasses, carpet the ground.
It's cyclopean nectars, so fragrantly sweet,
sun ripened and luscious, are truly a treat.
Lost in a paradise, so far, far, away,
Beneath one of those trees, I fall down to lay.
To the song of the birds, and whispering wind,
deep into a slumber, I began to descend.
I wake up in horror! I let out a scream!
My desert oasis, was merely a dream.
