" Grandmas's Place "

" Grandma's Place "

A wonderful lady - sixty-five years old , with a warm and loving heart of gold .

With a sweet sincerity upon her face , we all loved to go to grandma's place .

With a grandma's touch and tenderness , she greets us smiling with a gentle kiss .

A day well spent one Sunday afternoon , grandpa rings the dinner bell , time for supper soon .

A gracious host , our family gathers 'round . talking 'bout old memories stirs a heart-felt sound .

So many conversations , I don't know what to say , time to say our blessings this Thanksgiving day .

The clanking of the dishes , those uncomfortable chairs ,

and all those fancy clothes , that everybody wears .

Yes I miss those times , on this Thanksgiving fest ,

I really miss them now , since we laid them down to rest .
