Desert Storms

I’ve been living in a desert, since the night that changed my life;
A sirocco storms now every day, with winds that run so rife!
On the eve of my destruction, my oasis seemed so serene;
But a maelstrom to me was coming, the worst I’d ever seen!
It blew in unexpectedly, and ripped you from my arms;
No fair warning was I issued, I had no life’s alarms!
You flew away forever, as I wailed and chased your dust;
I felt the sword from Satan’s scabbard, into my heart be thrust!
The winds then blew so fiercely, they lifted me through the air;
Then I landed in Hell’s kitchen, so dismal and so bare!
And now I am a nomad, I live in desert storms;
On the sands of the Kalahari, each day another forms!
I search for a new oasis, that I can call my home;
But until the day I find one, I hopelessly will roam!
I’m thirsting for my soulmate, and until I see my way;
I’ll be living on this desert, storms raging every day!
