DESIGNER SHOES

She wore rainbow coloured laces on her designer shoes
A kaleidoscope of colours but mainly reds and blues
These shoes were neither shoe nor boot
Made to measure and designed to suit

The day arrived when they were first worn
She had wanted this footwear since the day she was born
These shoes to her felt like walking on air
It was pouring with rain outside and she didn't care

A few hundred yards that's when disaster struck
The lady with designer shoes couldn't believe her luck
It was on the pavement where a massive puddle laid
That was the end of the designer shoes I'm afraid
