Poem -

Desire

In my heart, like a fire, something burns called desire. In my mind, like a snake, poison venom over takes me, nothing heavenly, it’s called jealousy.

Heart and mind intertwine, creating such foul darkness; I desire you, but alas you have already been taken, my jealousy inflames.

New emotions are hidden deep, something that I plan to keep. Hatred, rage, nothing good; oh how I wish you understood.

I wish dark things, envision them; but don’t worry, they will not stem. I’ll have you not, soon you’ll see; that I have beaten jealousy.

The flame has died down, but not gone out; I’ll forever want you without a doubt. It still lives, the fire; I have not yet beaten desire.
