Destination

Destination

How long, how long?
Should I safeguard you,
From  thunder and lightning;
from the black clouds
and the sea storms
against you.
I will
examine
each ray of light;
each drop of night;
when you are beside me
in shades; in shadows;
in sorrows; in delight
lest they should
overcome you
shield you under my  own
wings before we reach
our destination !
