Destination of Breath

I’m so close to self; and so at sea; and unlike bats, I desire
More; and unlike cats, I can’t sit still. Imagine a meerkat:
Food is life; and a mongoose, asearch a cobra; but I ponder
More; and thirst for more: a more depth the soul: a spirit
Core. A songbird is sullen: she longs to sing, and longs to
Be heard; but depth the forest, no one hears; and she’s
Partly cultic; and partly faint. What will become of such a
Songbird! An iguana ponders flies: a life of purpose. A
Penguin travels North: a destined course; but human reason,
A leopard’s thirst; but meats and fruits, a comfort short.
A soul weeps, a thousand years; and yearns to live the life of
Greeks; and lava flame sears the mind; and spirit form, a
Hidden pleat. I’m close to touch, a mile away; and cryptic
Thought, an optic shore; and depth the heart, a need for more.  Â
