DESTINY

DESTINY

In his cot upon the grass
A baby boy with his eyes awide
Looking up at the daytime sky
As a 737 comes flying by

A few years later he's in a high chair
He's making models of rockets
Out of cardboard spares

Upon a grass hill and now able to run
He's flying a kite he made for fun

In the USA 25 years later
He's at space coast regional
And he's flying a Cessna

I'm now on a balcony in my 50th year
The stars are calling my time is near
To be an old man with his eyes awide
Looking at the heavens through a martian sky

Smiling...
