Poem -
Destiny is My FOE
I recall
as a teenager
finding
more
solace
in my
dreams
than
being
awake
to face
reality
Now that I am 51
the nightmare
invades
both
my dreams
and
what is
tangible
leaving
me
with
a haunting
stressful
existence....
Maybe
the downfalls
of this
writer
Are so
painful
that he
cannot
live
with
the reminders
that
taunts him
or
maybe
it
is
his
perseverance
that
is the
creator
of
this
torment.....
Nevertheless
I will
triumph
My Destiny
is mine
to take
failure
will
be conquered
this soldier
will not
retreat
My Flag
continues
to stand
IN GOD's
Strength
I am the
MASTER
OF
MY
Fate.......................................
