Distruction By Man

 We hear that by our actions,we’re destroying our animal kind
Their habitats and the way they live,with the debris we leave behind 
​​​​​​ Let’s start with our back garden’s,in the place that we call home
Concrete paving and perfect new fencing,nowhere for our hedgehogs to roam
 The common buzzy bumblebee,where once there was plenty
 I’ll be lucky that in my garden this year, I saw twenty 
​​​​​​ One doesn’t have to go far,to see the habitats we steal
New businesses and new housing estates,that once were farmers fields
 Forestry and woodlands,soon memories of the past 
Cant keep up with demanding folks,they’re disappearing way too fast
 Pollution in our atmosphere,poisoning the skies 
Positive moves from government power,we don’t want no more lies
 The plight of the worlds sea birds,they’re not meant to digest plastic 
Sealife tangled in fishing nets,the scene is oh so tragic 
​​​​​​ Rainforest destroyed by Man,in the name of progress
 So blinckered are the businesses,they’re causing ecological distress 
​​​​​​ And not forgetting the polar bears,looking all cuddly and nice 
​​​​​​ They’re future is literally teetering,on the very thin ice 
​​​​​​ My God the subject is endless,of the plight of the ones at risk 
​​​​​​ Of course they’ll be the careless one’s and the ones with the careless list
 Surely one day the penny will drop,to leave poor Nature alone 
​​​​​​ Before all our animals have become extinct and all our forest ​​​​​​have gone
