" DEVIOUS LOVE " (re-write June 2014)

" DEVIOUS LOVE " (re-write June 2014)

Your sadness, poison, little sprite
Is this all you've got
Spinning gnarly webs, through lies
To catch a guy
I can't see why.....

I saw a broken man
All broken inside
And when you did it, you didn't help
You knew, he could die
You're so cold...

Be afraid, you terrible child
You gloat over pain,
I just can't see why
What do you gain?
His hatred?...

Can't you just gently distract him
Or he could break
And not just in some morbid poem
Oh, for God's sake!
Just Love him!!....

Hi T! Contrast between cruelty and compassion is wonderful! Like Cherie, I like the ending stanza, a way out, if she could take it. Seems she doesn't know love is more powerful than her "poison." Really caught me with description! Thanks for posting! xoxo Susan
