Diamond Eyes

They glisten, diamond eyes, dragging my soul to the grave. I’m fused
By the misery of God, walking Satan’s plank. Oh the majesty of
Sudden panic, when spirit aches in poison. And this afflatus, a
Golden symbol, the kiss of Christ. She has baptized my wailing soul,
Painting the clouds in glory. Thus I fall, the depth of passion, dancing
Upon seconds. But love is a myth, a fragrant sign, adrift the clouds.
Wherefore hope, a flaming symbol, unto midnight prayer. And my
Heart, as feral as wolves, scraping the stars. For this grief, a touch of
Joy, etching the soul. Whereby mercy, befalls the spirit, the love of
Fools. But fate, a silver vision, enticing reason. Thus, my love, the
Core of existence, I ache for glory. Wherefore my soul, pleading the
Mystery, lost in florid portraits. And diamond eyes, aflame my heart,
Stirring my dreams. My love, as deep as image, the taste of vision,
My longing critique. And I dare to love, my flaming illusion.
