Yes, of course he did, but suppose he did not?
would your belief be devastated, obliterated or what?
two thousand years ago, a long time to say yes or no,
would you carry on refusing to go with the flow?

We have the Dead Sea Scrolls and Turin Shroud,
but would your credulity, belief, really be allowed;
our way of life on the line, all we really stood for,
purpose of existence, surely there has to be more. 

There is but we are a moment in time, just transient,
your opinion is void, expectations become irrelevant;
we will be gone, our Earthly lives of no account,
the problems we have will be difficult to surmount.

We hold on to everything that we have always held dear,,
be prepared, because not all is as it may really appear.
