Dilemma of Modernism
I ponder āam I able?ā ā do I care?ā
Unanswered questions,
unquestioned answers
Do I move forward, or stay
where I am?
Keep to myself
or open to share?
All great ponderables
ForĀ a modernist mind.
Do I peel or eat my apple whole?
Use a napkin or let nature dry?
Looking backwards seems lost
Yetā¦
Do I care to look ahead?
Will I miss the things forgotten?
Or just make new memories?
Am I able? Do I care?
Perhaps not quite enough
