Dirt Below My Boots

Dirt Below My Boots

I need a man
Not a kid
So, move along
Get over this

When they treat me right
Maybe then
I'll put up more of a fight
To keep them in

But you're just dirt
Below my boots
Better get a new
Good Attitude

Face the facts
I got someone new
You should know that
I'm over you

But that's a fact
So, take that to heart
I'm not the oneĀ
Gonna be torn apart

Cause you're the dirt
Below my boots
I don't need your
Bad attitude

"Cause you're the dirt below my boots"

I really like this line, because it reveals two things- That you've been stepped on in your life, but that you're not taking it anymore! It's a powerful statement of who you are! Keep up the great work!

Thank you, and yeah it took a while to finally stop stepping on myself andĀ letting others do the same
