A dispiriting nature

lost and all alone
her little heart beating fast
she closed her eyes and wished for home
as darkness crept in and the light passed
a man, masked, waited silently
for this girl to say her prayers
befor her life ended violently
to pay for her mother's affairs
but that of which he did not know
was what awaited for him
for all it took was one big blow
to paralyse his every limb
a force stronger than evil
had some catching up to do
a weapon, highly leathal
and to his life he bid adieu
as for the girl, curled into a ball
her life had been spared
and her savior waiting down the hall
someone who really cared
