Ditty Over-load ?

I’m not sure what to feel
I’ve wrote so many ditties
I’m almost onto number 1000
I  started writing in my late fifties

I keep telling myself that this will be the final verse
then an idea springs in my head
so I jot it down on pen & paper intending it’s the last instead

I’m not sure why I write them
It’s just something that I do
The trouble is I worry incase I’m over-loading you

Almost every day I write a verse
Sometimes I create a few
It’s a great way to amuse myself,
keeps me from feeling blue

I cannot stand boredom
that very word drives me insane
I reckon that’s the reason why I write over & over again

So I’m so sorry if you see another ditty belonging to Jill Tait
But hey if you enjoy reading them then hip hip hooray... that’s great !
