DIVINE DESTINY

The curtain lifted too soon
Revealing infancy's first breath
And bewilderment's swoon
Manifesting as sudden implosionary death
Shocks the mother world
Sending ripples at perfect intervals
Through time's continuum
Causing planets to hurtle
And galaxies to spin
Into recesses infertile
Leaving lifeless worlds
As cold as ice
And the hope for mankind
Hanging by fibrous materials
Left by centuries-old
Meteorite remnants
And the questions
Woven into Methuselah's
Original prayers
And hopes
For humanity's
Divine destiny...

When you write on cosmic and divine subjects...when you let your imagination loose amidst the stars and endeavour to describe all that you apprehend therein...your writing takes on a very particular quality...
As though your verses were ripped from the pages of the Bhagavad Gita!!
Fantastic!!!

Thanx JASON!!..... yes, I really do love delving into the possibilities that the cosmic and divine subject matter presents...... Metaphysics is my favorite subject and is truly where I hand my hat when it comes to spirituality......thanx again for the awesome feedback brother!!...... peace.....T xo ?☀✴✳
Beautifully woven poetry Tony; I felt as if there was a purpose to life and death; the poem is beautiful.

Thanx JAI!!..... yes, you're right.... it is about the purpose...... and the idea that there is some unknown force guiding us out into the universe itself..... as our creator had deemed so very long ago...... along with the prayers of Methuselah himself!!......thanx again brother poet!!....... peace......T xo ?☀✴✳
A metaphysical gem. The juxtaposition between the prayers of the immortal (Methuselah) and the temporary nature of human life works brilliantly. And the fluid use of rhyme...
