DO NOT KNOCK

DO NOT KNOCK

                                                          Life is ours,
                                                          you are not bare
love is a beautiful gown to wear
and when I look at your eyes
                                                          I see threads of light
                                                          creating a feeling so bright,
                                                          I know I love you
                                                          I know I care!
                                                          Do not knock
                                                          my heart has no lock
                                                          push the door open
                                                          find a little corner
                                                          come and snug with me.
                                                          Do Not Knock
my hands know how to find you
                                                          they’ll always guide you
you’ll never be lost, my love.

I can imagine this whispered between 2 lovers over wine ( cider in my case lol)
a roaring fire and a candle lit dinner on a harsh winter night Bernadete...that's what it does for me and thankyou for the words that created the image...beautiful x

I am glad this poem gave you a good & peaceful image. May you have many more of those images, dear Marion. And a little cider too. Cheers!

A contemplation of my early poem Who Crushed the Yellow Rose

Who Discarded the Red Rose?

Who discarded her heart
